The Hound is singer, songwriter, and producer John Constantine. He got his chops at a young age studying opera and music production, and with his childhood friend formed the band Orchid and Hound. The duo released 3 albums together, with shows at South by Southwest and a leg of shows in Berlin. When moving to Downtown Los Angeles in 2013, The Hound met other queer artists, business owners, and performers and watched them blossom in the burgeoning queer landscape of DTLA. After being inspired by the creators in the community, The Hound stepped out as a solo artist to explore his own sound. His debut single Can’t Let You Go was released on August 4, with a music video starring Aram Giragos and co-directed by The Hound and Adrian Anchondo.
“…immediately accessible, hugely beautiful, gorgeously colourful pop that soars through the mind, with choruses that linger happily in the thoughts, whilst all the time intelligently and sharply describing the young gay man’s place in the modern world. Perhaps it sounds like we’re gushing – and we totally are, because we believe this is exactly what gay music needs right now.” – QX MAGAZINE
